Asthma attack from cleaning

I had an attack from cleaning, the bleach triggered me. Has anyone else had this experience?

Yes. I think it too strong of smell for people who have asthma. I know there are strong smell lotion that can make me have attack. Dust, weather, food, other clean stuff and there a lot of thing can make us have asthma. I was born with asthma and I will alway have it. What I do is try to stay away from things that make me have asthma attack. I know have asthma is not fun to have. You got to watch how much of thing you do. I know if I walk too much I can have a asthma attack. How long have you have asthma?

Strong smells haven't really bothered me yet. I'm sorry that happen.

Yep, I have been there. I was at work (work in a hospital) and my boss ordered these clorox wipes in the tub. Well, I was in the room when a co-worker pulled one out and started wiping stuff down. Immediately I started coughing, wheezing and I went into respiratory distress. My boss collected all the tubs and got rid of them. Those wipes are so strong.
Be careful what you clean with, and also don't clean with clorox and then do the floor with pine sol, both are strong smelling and both of them together could be disastrous
I don't use clorox at all.

certain smells trigger my asthma mainly sweet smelling ones from perfume and candles. If bleach bothers you I would find something else to clean with. I personally use natural cleaning supplies instead of the ones with chemical. Baking soda and vinegar cleans just as good. Take care!

Yes, I have. As already mentioned, I use other products (vinegar and baking soda) if possible. If not possible, then I wear a mask with cartridges that absorb the irritants from the bleach and I ventilate the area.

it happeneto me in the hhospital. their cleaning solution set my asthma off twice. also had problem with pwrsonnel wearing strong scents. I have them post it on my ndoor and aak them to leave if it botherrs me
