Recently I heard about a supposed possible cure for autism involving some epilepsy medication that was supposed to be able to switch off autism traits in mice. They considered this a brakethrough and a possible cure for autism. I found it suspicious because I was under the impression autism traits couldn't be switched off. Also it said this medication was 3$ per pill. It sounds cheap and it makes me feel suspicious that this medication is cheap. This is hard on me because it feels like people are always wanting to find ways to cure us and eliminate us from the gene pool. It just makes me feel so unaccepted is that to much to ask.

Yes, perhaps it is a big ask but I do agree that there is a lot of -isms around. Ableism, sexism, etc. I too get some of these. I don’t see this as about eliminating people with Aspergers. I see this as how our medical system works. Big money in so called curing Aspergers. Every parent would buy this. It’s about so called relieving misery while make a buck.

That definitely sounds true. It’s tough sometimes how some people just see autism as a cash grab opportunity.
