My son is 5 1/2 and has always loved me to cuddle him. Ever since he was 3yrs old, he climbs in my bed at around 2am and snuggles up to me and goes back to sleep. He seems to find such comfort and security in that. He will hug his dad and some of the immediate family but doesn't like that close contact with people he doesn't know.

I have a nephew who doesn't hug. I developed the air hug for him.

I put my arms out like a barrel and say, GIMMEEE SOME AIR. So we air hug together.

He likes that.

I seem to prefer hugging people who aren't related to me. I think it's because I never really grew out of being embarrassed by my family. But I always wish someone else out there would hug me.

I, in fact, met Robin Williams two weeks ago. He put his arm around me for the picture, and I reacted to the touch by full-on hugging him. Fortunately, he didn't mind. ^_^; Not only did I get a much needed hug, but from my idol! (http://dailystrength.org/people/195017/photos-videos/0)

But anyway, I'm definitely one of those people who needs more hugs, but I can't find many people willing to give me any. :(

I sure understand your feelings a lot. I like my mother to hug me. I didn't like hugs when I was growing up. Now I'm 52 and I like hugs from outsiders a lot.

I'd like to have a non-sexual companion that hugs, doesn't kiss or want sexual intamacy.

This is complicated for me. There are a few people that I actually seek affectionate touch from. There are a few that I go out of my way to avoid physical contact with.

Sleeping, I like to snuggle with my husband. I kinda have to tolerate my kids wanting to sit on me though.

DO NOT TICKLE ME! I absolutely hate it. I almost broke my friend's hand once when she poked me in the side.

My husband doesn't understand why I squirm and start scratching when he touches me really lightly. It almost hurts / itches to be touched very lightly.

Anyway, it's weird.

I have always enjoyed being hugged and when I was younger rocked. Makes things interesting when I meet someone who knows about Aspies and thinks that all Aspies are touch-me-nots.

Yep, I love hugs too. Sometimes I like holding hands.
Some people I enjoy laying side by side watching a movie too.

I like it, granted I never get it as I am singele and have no gf :(. oh well such is life

My cats are where I get affection.

You knowwhat's really weird?? I HATED being touched as a kid and when dad would carry me usptairs I knew he was going to drop me, it was terrifying! But I LOVE being cuddled by men and boyfriends! Go figure..

my son 4 1/2 who we think may have mild aspergers and also most definetly has add or adhd he loves loves loves to hug and kiss and cuddle but thats only when he can slow down enough to do it , usualy hes too busy pinging everywhere.

I've never liked being held, my mthr says I would often squirm to get away as a child. I still don't and have a co-worker who often comes by and insist on a hug.. hate it! LOL Sometimes I try to tolerate her.
