Took my husband to the north today have him scheduled for hip replacement the 30th. Came home started moving things in the closet, string clothes, nothing too bad, but then started into muscle spasms in middle back clear around right ribs. Took more meds, but nothing is helping, when this happens I have a lot of trouble breathing deep and moving. My son fixed dinner for me and I have not stopped spazing. When my hubby gets home I might have him take me to er, but hoping the second set of meds will relieve the pain.

Story just wanted to whine a little

Oh my gosh. I sure hope you are okay and didn't require the need for an ED visit.

I'm sorry you feel so poorly. Will a warm bath help?

So sorry you are hurting....muscle spasms are the pits. I get them at times but have a standing prescription for muscle relaxers which help tremendously. Hope you got relief and didn't need to go to ER. Also sending best wishes for your hubby's surgery and recovery.

Well im glad you wined i tryed to clean the toilet and moved wrong say and went into muscle spasms so i know how you feel it sucks. I just had to take muscle relaxer. Love to you lisa

Thanks everyone...I was able to avoid the er...today was better, still having small spasms, but surviving. Muscle relaxers I take daily, I have been pretty bad at times...I thin at some point I will have to have something stronger than what I take. I currently take metacarbamol, but I may have to go on Flexerol, I think that is what it is called. My Dr. Wants me to see a pain doctor, but I am a little apprehensive. Any info?

Spasms came back in the night with a vengeance, enough meds slowed it this day. Hopefully tonight will be better.

I have taken Flexeril before for the terrible muscle spasms that I get as well. Unfortunately, I might as well have been taking a sleeping pill because it knocks me out almost immediately.

I heard they make a Flexeril ER, extended release, now. Perhaps this will help with the tiredness factor.
