Need help with arthritis of arch of foot

Does anyone have arthritis in their arch of foot??? What did u do for it. I spect 3 months in PT

I have been having awful problems with my feet. I have a high arch but I think it is collapsing. Started out with knots under the balls of my feet .Sort of found an insert that has helped that but they are so stiff when I sit for awhile or when I get up in the middle of the night or in the morning. I feel like I'm losing my balance, I guess because I'm always guarding them. They are so sore when I walk. Now my heal is hurting on one foot. I can't find any shoe that really feels ok. After I wear them for awhile they all hurt. I went to the foot doctor and it did no good at all. He basically said you're old and have arthritis and deal with it. Not in those words of course but that's how it felt. Told me I was doing about all that there was to do. I'm 67, by the way. I know that my right leg is shorter and that makes a difference. I try to wear a little insert in the heal of my right shoe to even that out. So YES, I share your pain with foot arthritis but haven't found a solution. It;s been a while sense you posted this so if you've found the secret, please let me know.

I used an elastic band on my foot when it hurt and I had a knot on my arch. It was muscle knotted up. Rested overnight and it was better the next day. I used this method a few times and now it much better. Inserts don't work for me.
You are not old so the dr is wrong.
