Well I do have connective tissue disease/ lupus and micrvascular cardiac disease and now I was told mesinteric ischemia and will have to see a vascular doctor.
I was just wondering what your status is now since your post? What treatment have you had? Are you better at eating? How were you diagnosed? I was told two of the three arteries had sever stenosis . Sorry for so many questions, but I have never heard of this.
Hope you doing better,
Bb
At this point I had a Mesenteric stent placed in July. I had no symptoms for three weeks. When the symptoms returned the doctors again said GI. After the colonoscopy I was so weak I ended up with a PICC line.
I had a second operation to place another stent and have stabilized. I'm not losing more weight but still have bouts of severe nausea and diarrhea after eating.
The PICC line has been a lifesaver, because I can administer fluids to myself at home, which keeps my blood pressure from dropping too low.
Apparently this isn't all that rare, especially with both autoimmune and cardiovascular disease.
The doctors are blasting the lupus with both oral and IV chemo to try and keep this from progressing.
I hope you're doing OK. You're not alone.
It has been awhile since our last post. How have you been doing? Did the second stent help? As for me, my systems returned after two months of improvements. I had another CTA done and told stents are holding. I had two put into the SMA, but not he Celiac artery, that one so totally closed off and they can't do anything. The vascular surgeon said I should not beings having the problems. I wish he would tell my stomach that. So here we do again, all the GI testing. I think I should have had the bypass as one vascular had suggested.
Hope you are doing well.
