Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Today, was so much better. I could feel my anxiety trying to take over but the first time I went for a walk and brought a security "object" with me. It did help. And then at lunch which is when I know I get the most anxiety, I could feel it just below the surface. So I asked my friends to tell funny stories and that helped. And then when I was by myself where my anxiety could reach me again, I started to sing. And singing helped so much! I would stop singing and my anxiety would creep back up, so I just sang my little heart out for ten or fifteen minutes until my anxiety finally sank back down where it belonged. It feels so good to have a victory, after yesterday. Thanks for the advice, so glad I can talk to you all! I know it's not going to work every time, and not every day will e a good day/victory, but I'm just going to focus on celebrating that it worked today.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Whatever name you give ^it^ the anxiety channel is priceless. My own shrinks call it, "Tactile grounding." Whatever the names and theories of choice, it helps me ALLOT in my own anxiety management. When an anxiety attacks while I don't have a talisman in my pocket, I steal a neglected doodad from the scene of the trigger. Payback is An Arf, my anxiety producer. . .
