Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
On March 10th, I was talking to my best friend, who is a school teacher. I was telling her that I bought paper to print out my Resume to send out to various law offices in the town where I have been going to the gym for the last 3 weeks. I am on disability and have been looking for part-time work for a long time. She stopped me in my tracks and said that her school is looking for hall monitors. She said that I would have a desk to sit at. I told her that I was interested. I jumped on it and sent the principal my Resume and cover letter that night. The principal called me the next day and hired me on the spot! I had to have a TB test, which came out negative and I had to be fingerprinted. So now it will take about two weeks for the report to come in and I will probably start on April 8th. The upsides are working with my best friend, working with children, getting out of the house and making money and the fact that I can make my own hours and occasionally do stuff with my bestie after work. The downsides are that the school is 48 miles away and it is going to change things with my friend that I work out with. She has bombed out on me this month and thinks she will be ready to go back to the gym in April. So that's up in the air. Also, I have osteoarthritis in my back and can't stand for long periods of time in one place. So that may be a challenge. Thanks for reading!

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

When it comes to working out, that often changes due to differing schedules.

I think the school as a hall monitor is a great place to start. This will only be a few more months, right? You will get to sit down and it is part time. Yes, a long drive but it is a start. They are fortunate to have you.
This job doesn't have to affect your friendship. Just don't lean on her for your work support. Don't share information with her about the job. Just go and finish out the school year with a smile. Great opportunity.
And having this job on your resume brings you up to current as far as employers are looking for workers who are already working. There is a bias against people who have not been employed for a while. I am excited for you!
And this sounds like an ideal position to come to which should have good accommodations for rebuilding yourself physically and emotionally for some healthy stresses. I had some days with students which were more difficult than others, but when I looked for humor and joy, students always gave me some silly or sweet thing to smile about on the way home.
Congratulations on your new job. Enjoy your students!
