Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I love my job. I really do. But I've been working almost twice as much as I used to and it's stressing me out. My boyfriend lost his job so I've been paying all the bills and it's a real strain.
This has been going on for months. I know he hates not working but he's not trying hard enough to find work. I honestly believe he could find a job if he just applied at fast food places and whatnot. But he wants a job in his field. And his field isn't hiring.
I'm so tired all the time because all I do now is work. He always comments on the fact that I sleep all the time but I can hardly stay awake when I'm not working. Anxiety and depression will do that to you.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

A couple of months is hardly a drop in the ocean. Barely noticeable.
how you handle this few months, however, will determine a number of things. One of which is how long the relationship will last.
It is extremely hard to get the job you want when you are doing shift work at MacDonalds. If you want him on minimum wage, you have to ask yourself if that's the long view. If you want him on his best possible wage in his chosen field, you have to ask if that's the long view.
And if you break his dream you have to ask how long the relationship will last.
When you two have kids who will stay home to raise them? Who will be working to support everyone? When, in short, will you two become a team who are all for one, and one for all, or will you never? Will you always remain solo, separate entities merely inhabiting the same space?
You would be surprised at what you can survive. Every summer I worked 14-16 hr days, 7 days a week, for at least 3 months during picking season, as I was the only EDI in the packhouse and could not be replaced for any shift. I could relieve my clerks and supervisors, but nobody could relieve me. I did it because I had to: but because I had to I discovered I could. I could do all this, work from 6am to 8pm, come home, cook dinner, do some laundry, and fall into bed to get up again at 5:30 the next morning.
You can do this. If you want to.
