Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

for what it's worth
my hubs monitors his blood pressure religiously. he sure looks meditative when he does so. makes me wonder if you could use that ritual as the lead in to meditation periods. just wondering. . .
My psychiatrist said that almost all of his patients (anxiety and depression patients) all tell him the same thing, that their anxiety/depression is the worst in the morning. Not even about the cortisol surge or anything, that they just are more anxious in the mornings.
Once I get up and get going and start doing stuff, I start to feel better. And getting outside always always helps me to feel better.
My Mom had astronomically high blood pressure her whole life (and she lived to 90 years old), but some of the things I know about it is, make sure both feet are flat on the ground (don't cross your legs). Be still and quiet about 10 minutes before taking your reading. And, try the readings one on each arm.
Hope the rest of your day got better!
Once I started testing how intense the pressure was, I worked on the the way I felt before and noted the difference.
Doing this helped me to adjust naturally so the measuring of the pressure was better even in stress.
I agree with adding this into the meditation process as it will give you a better idea of what is working.
It took me a long time to work through the 'wake up anxiety' and I rarely experience it now. Choosing to relax before I get out of bed or stretching depending on how I'm affected is my usual go-to.
Here's to your success! Writing it out is so much part of the process!
Point in checking it until you calm down Unless you’re having another symptom or it’s staying high for a couple of days. I too try to become Uber calm before a reading lol. I want that reading close to normal so it’s not another worry on the list if I need to get it down. I avoid salt, go for a walk and make sure meds are taken. This will help a little in a couple of days. Oh and increase drinking water Hugs.
Like, I'm just sitting watching tv, my heart races, feel's like it's coming out of my chest, It disrupts my sleep, And my thought prosses.
You think of think of the worse case scenario,
In fact I just wrote about it in the PTSD group, Intitled: "Why does it feel so real"
Feel free to give me Your input.
I hear that, Here's to a worry/stress free day.
some days i feel like i am about to have a panic attack all day. and i don't know why that happens. this isn't the best advice but sometimes it helps me to just give in the anxiety and have a panic attack or just cry (crying in a histerical/dramatic way really helps me sometimes). i think with that you just let everything that has been accumulating out.
