Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

while wishing seldom solves problems, sometimes wishes can point the way to healing and/or resolution. at the very least, a mindful wander through the perfect fiction of my wish garden can be cathartic. it's okay to wish, as long as i remember to breathe while i wait for the wish fairy to show.
as i struggle to calm the psychotic episode which refuses to have faith in the current viability of the new --ahem-- normal which has established since the fatal car wreck which created my bizarre little family in september 2019, the hypervigilance continues to look for danger in every breeze which passes across our windy porch on the southern great plains. the most recurrent anxiety in the hypervigilant watch concerns the geriatric challenges already nipping at my 68 year old heels. please spare me the standard 68 years young youthenizations of our youth worshipping culture. the stresses of raising these beautiful children whelm me daily. the aches and pains of those stresses remind me daily that i am nearer the end of life than the beginning. is it ironic that the same people who tell me 68 is not so old are the same ones who are most likely to nag me about the probable causes of my demise are everywhere? dying doesn't frighten me. leaving these children to fall through the cracks of the foster care system terrifies me.
the wish i find myself washing this morning is the wish for a middle generation in our family. just wishing. . .
anybody else have wishes they'd like to wash? feel free to offer unsolicited advice to wash the wish to be a syndicated advice columnist.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
For the record, you make an excellent advice/suggestion/guidance columnist!
when i first started therapy in 1972, back when folks still bought newspapers, i was being academically encouraged to go that very route. my delayed speech development honed my writing/reading skills to epic proportions in all of my languages. many a teacher saw writing awards in my future. my therapists held a radically different view of my advice giving. they called it, "deflecting" or "avoidance." several of them endowed me with the dx of, "hypergraphia." in my live support groups i was often chastised for giving unsolicited advice.
sigh. . . it is amazing how many views there are of a single phenom. which right is the rightiest right?
Here's to what works!
by Maria Konnikova. The goal is to make good decisions. That means most decisions are viewed prospectively, did I act reasonably based upon the available information.
For life, the question each day is have I done a reasonable job and addressed things as best I can. Rather than worry, keep yourself in good physical shape so you're around and do what you can.
how is the web syndication going these days? for sure, newspaper syndication is gasping its last breaths, as is the entire paper publishing biz.

in my self-image as a prayer warrior, i imagine myself as a soldier in a gigantic, anonymous army of prayer warriors. along this trail of tears, you have told me you were burning prayer candles with/for me. in the burning of those candles, you became a soldier in my love army.
wanna pray with me?
