Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I can’t fix my sleep schedule and I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s so bad now that I will at times not sleep at all at night, get breakfast at 7, 7:30 then finally go to sleep at 8am. I take half the dose of the med that I used to take the full dose of that’s supposed to help me sleep and sleep literally like 18 hours... can’t do that when I’m a college student. I’m sleeping through classes, two this week, several in the past, usually accidentally but sometimes knowingly because I just can’t get out of bed. Plus I’m so annoyed at other people over nothing (I usually try to hide my annoyance or deal with it on my own, tho) even though I don’t want to be and even at myself. I lie in bed and feel so wide awake at night and even during the day I feel uncomfortable while lying in bed even though I want to sleep I don’t know if that’s the right way to explain it. I can’t just get comfy and fall asleep anymore it’s never comfortable. I have so many thought I want to get on paper but writing on paper is annoying to me right now. I’m fat and I didn’t lose weight today I gained a little back (I know that is illogical because that’s not how bodyweight works but whatever). I try to feel confident I look in the mirror and think “I don’t look that bad” but they still don’t like me so I must. My energy levels fluctuate like crazy. It’s hard to remember to take my meds at bed time when I have no bed time. And it’s not as easy as making one because there’s no way I can sit in the dark doing nothing I’ll lose my mind.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

You will sleep better after you get up, move around, get hydrated, get the body and brain working together.
Best wishes.
I removed ALL clocks from my room. This prevents me from looking at the clock for hours on end and counting how many hours of sleep I might get if I were to actually fall asleep at that time. I set and alarm on my cell phone for whatever time I need to be up the next day and ignore the time until the alarm goes off.
Finally, I use my earbuds and listen to the bible to fall asleep. My favorite to listen to is Proverbs. I just turn it on and listen and eventually fall asleep peacefully. I hope something in this will help you get a good nights sleep soon.
I experienced the same restlessness at night that you explained. I would lie down and think I was comfortable. That only lasted a couple minutes, then my body would just feel agitated, like something was wrong. I would switch positions, get too hot, then too cold, then my mind would start racing about the dumbest things.
Fortunately I found a dr. who checked my hormones. She prescribed progesterone cream (not the kind you buy off the shelf in GNC. I get it mixed up at a compounding pharmacy). It has changed my life. I use it in the morning and at night before I go to bed. I sleep like a baby. I am so much more relaxed and calm. My mind doesn't race, and I fall asleep usually in 10 -15 minutes.
