Distracting myself also helps.
It might sound crazy, but try taking a Benadryl right at the beginning of high anixity or a panic attack it helps me a lot to calm down.
Another thing I’ve tried is hot tea. If you look you’ll find teas that claim to help clam you. I drink it at work sometimes it’s not a magical drink, but it does help sooth me.

I can not express enough about nutrition, exercise, and meditation which will TOTALLY banish anxiety and panic attacks. I am living proof.
Always consult your doctor if you add any type of supplement.
However, if they are not on board with you, I would find a new doctor.
Doctors only have about 7 hours in med school on nutrition and how supplements work. They are paid to give out pills/scripts and do not have the time to explore herbs and natural supplements towards healing you (fact).
I'm not saying ALL doctors are like this. More of them are getting on board with natural.....cuz it really does work.
It is worth the effort and you have nothing to lose.......except anxiety/panic attacks!
