Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Know this feeling will pass and you will be alright.
First of all. Calm yourself. Take a deep breath in through your nose. Hold it. Exhale slowly through your nose. Repeat this until you feel a little more calm.
Try to relax your muscles. Put your shoulders down. Let your arms and legs relax and not be tense.
Think positive things to yourself. In fact, SAY positive things to yourself. Read this aloud:
I am perfectly calm and relaxed. I am totally healthy and happy. I am doing everything I can to make myself better, and I WILL be better! I am so proud of myself."
Keep deep breathing. Keep repeating the words. Feel yourself calm. Feel yourself feel better about YOU. TELL yourself that you are okay.
Don't look at the cliff. Look at the happiest, calmest place you have ever been. See it? Smell the air? Hear everything around you? Live there. Feel it. Let all of your senses surround that glorious, happy, calm and peaceful place.
Live there for a while. Tell yourself good, positive things. Be Positive with yourself. You are not doing this TO yourself, you're doing this FOR yourself. And you sure deserve it!
It took 13 different meds and 10 years for me to find NOTHING helps me.
There's really nothing else to do BUT be patient and accepting.
