Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
anxiety mode. I'm sitting here right now trying not to worry about a few things that might happen. But also have a decent chance that
they won't happen.

I think this stems from being in a rather bad chain accident on an icy roadway a very long time ago. I wasn't hurt, but my car was pretty badly damaged. I've also had 360 spin-outs on black ice -- twice at the same busy intersection. I was so very lucky both times that there was absolutely no traffic.
I stay home if at all possible when there is bad weather.
That being said, if you need medical help, it's amazing how many ways they can help you. When a woman had breast cancer at the science station in Antarctica, they were able to save her even though she was completely snowed in for months with no hospital anywhere nearby.
If you know your neighbors, you can make it fun with pot lucks or games. Even if it's just you and your husband, you can make it a fun and relaxing time to snuggle in - warm soups, tea, blanket forts.
I also find that when I'm snowed in, it helps me to just go outside for a bit even if I'm not driving around. Just realizing I can walk down the street helps me feel less isolated.
