Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. The other thing that sometimes happens is that I can't seem to focus my eyes which will freak me out and throw me right into a panic attack. That doesn't happen often and I can usually always figure out what might have made me dizzy such as playing a computer game.
The one story I have that is funny to me today but was terrifying to me at the time totally shows how this anxiety disorder works in my body. One Halloween I was in a costume shop and everything got foggy. I had a major panic attack because I thought I must be going blind. I managed to get to the cash register by the time my vision cleared. I raced home in the hopes that I wouldn't go blind before I got there.
Once home, I wondered to myself if there had been a smoke machine in the store. I contacted them and indeed there had been. So the "fogginess" I experienced was simply walking through a smoke machine cloud. :-) I have to find the humor every now and then or this would just drive me crazy!
My eyes have blurred before many times. It always clears up and other anxiety symptoms normally join it so I know it is anxiety.
I get my eyes checked every year and do all the extra tests to make sure. They are fine besides being nearsighted and astigmatism.
I think sometimes it might also be allergies.
