Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Then, I'll go do some self care. Why can't hospitals communicate better from doctor to
family members. Husband had Tele health appoint with his internest today. He read discharge papers on
first hospital. Seems like the hospital thought husband might have pneumonia. I was never told. The papers I got
said very little. And no reason for his symptoms. He took covid test and it was negative. Even second hospital doctor
never gave me information. Just said four things ok the day he was discharged and that was over the phone.
Internist said he may have got infection that caused heart failure. I told internist that husband had heart failure for years.
So then he said an infection might have made his heart failure worse. He didn't have time to explain exactly what his thinking
was and why husband has the same heart fraction rate that he had two years ago if his heart failure is worse. He prescribed
antibiotics. This is so anoying.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
yay you for remembering your self-care. steadying support while you ride the wave.
We had so many crazy episodes at the hospital with her.
I hope the antibiotics help.
I hope he is doing better?
Hang in there. It’s a lot to deal with. Good for you having the presence of mind to remember self care. It’s easy to let that slide when caring for a loved one and working through all the medical bureaucracy.
Here’s my suggestion: get a little notebook and write down your questions ahead of time. I put spaces so I can write the answers. I write down what the doctor says.
Where I live we have an excellent home service where a tech comes out and they check heart and lungs, can take blood work, and the NP or Dr. on the video call gets all the information online from the tech or nurse who comes to your house. It was fabulous when my relative was too sick to go to the doctor’s office from shingles. It’s so contagious they don’t want you in the office anyway. Plus, there are some practices that are geriatric and also come to the home. Original Medicare will generally cover these if you are in the USA.
He needs his heart and lungs listened to by a doctor so you can lessen your anxiety. It’s not easy being the care giver. I can understand how this might overwhelm you. Hugs to you!!!
