i have both chronic depression and annxiety both of which are not doing good. my depression has been under control until the past few weeks, rearing its ugly head. i am aggitated, sleepy, tensce and anxiety filled, i am over the top of my head. my pshcy. after i spilled everything suggested we need to up a med, he is not one to up easily. went through all the different meds we tried, none had really worked except effexfor and the added cymbalta. when i had to up the cymbalta the first time i was acting like a zombie, totally zoned out. now he wants to up that again to help take the edge of everything. i am taking it this morning, scared so much as i have to go into work and deal with the public, i work at a deli. i am so nervous.
doc has you on Cymbalta and Effexor..They are both SNRI drugs and the "N" is norepinephrine which is akin to adenalin and can inrease anxiety i some people. Also with both drugs affecting seratonin , I would think there's a risk of seratonin syndrome.
