Hi everybody. I thought I would just share this excellent article about digital detoxing:

I've been thinking about unplugging from social media for awhile. I know it distracts me from my work and this makes me feel anxious and unfocused. I also notice that when I get on Facebook lately, I just feel a lot of negative emotions: annoyance, envy, loneliness. I find myself rolling my eyes a lot at posts that seems very crafted and insincere and cringe at the thought others might think the same about my posts.
What about you?
Do you find that social media increases your feelings of anxiety and depression? Have you ever tried to "detox" and found that it helped your anxiety?

Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

Often social media is used to judge others. And who needs that?
I don't visit facebook much, but sometimes I do feel a little down when I see people my age married and/or have children and I am not that at that point, but I remind myself I am not ready yet. Mostly I just find facebook boring.
I am active on twitter and I mostly just follow it for sports so it doesn't bother me unless on the occasion when I get into a debate with someone.
Also, I just find that it is just too addictive. It's so silly! It keeps me distracted all day long and then I beat myself up about how little I get accomplished... really, what is it good for?!?
