Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My boyfriend just moved away. It's been 3 days since I said my goodbyes and it's just now hitting me that I won't see him until i visit in 3 months. I keep trying to tell myself that we have it pretty easy as far as long distance realtionships go, we'll be apart for only about 9 or 10 months. But I can't focus on the things I need to get done. My throat feels all choked up. I feel panicky, but I don't know why. I'm trying to focus on homework right now but every time I start to work I just feel really overwhelmed and want to climb into bed and cry.
Anyone have tips on how to keep my focus? Keeping physically active helps but the homework has get to get done and it's once I stop moving that everything catches up to me.
Do doctors perscribe short-term anxiety scripts? I'm currently not on anything but my anxiety has been slowly getting worse over the years to the point where I have been considering it. I'm in my last two semesters of college which is a really critical time for my program and I don't want my work to suffer because I start to go into panic mode every time I have to sit still for more than 5 minutes. I just need to keep my focus somehow...

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
You can do this, stay "In the Moment" with your thinking!
Have you even spoken to your BF about it? Keeping up that communication and contact, even setting up a 'Skype date' so you have something to look forward to in the short term. I know it must be hard to have the time ticking away in your mind, and knowing you have to wait. But if you start setting little goals to work towards it will start to fly by for you!
Keep positive! If physical activities keep you motivated, then perhaps schedule in short breaks in between your homework. Do study groups with friends...just lots of small things to work towards to keep your mind working :)
Stay strong!
