Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Yes, depression can be a big factor in this unfortunate series of events. Inside my own skin, depression feels where I turn those anxieties inward and allow them to eat me alive, from the inside out.
My standard cocktail for ^it^ is a combo of therapy exercises to help me get to the root of the problem and baby food to provide me solid, easily digested nutrition in an easy to use and carry format.
Gentle support while you find what works for you, Goldsky. Every case is unique, but you are not alone in the struggle.
Good idea about the baby food.
I’ve been listening to audio books, and bedtime stories but they aren’t keeping the anxious thoughts away tonight. Thankfully, I fell asleep for nearly 3 hours earlier in the evening.
I haven’t journaled yet, this all seems too real right now to write about yet. I guess I don’t want to face it yet.
I hope things get better for both of us very soon.

Journal helps to release the words from the brain.
Best wishes.
I have yet to try journaling. I know it’s helped in the past, but I have yet to try it lately. Thank you for the suggestion.

I think depression is a big part of this for many of us, but I think depression manifests differently from person to person. What I am feeling most of the time is anger rather than sadness.
Being able to share my feelings with others is helpful to me. I've gotten a lot of suggestions that are unhelpful and useless to me; we all need to find what helps us as individuals and keep in mind that what is helpful to one person may or may not be helpful to the next person.
Eating a square of dark chocolate is something that has helped me. It gives me a boost and increases my appetite. Sometimes I have been cooking then eating dinner later when my appetite picks back up. I try not to eat after 7 p.m. usually, but these are different times!
That's exactly what I'm having trouble with. Worse still I feel like it is too much trouble to cook what I need to eat in the evenings. I'm doing better today thank goodness, but it's not easy.
Interesting about the square of dark chocolate that helps to boost your appetite. I suppose it's the caffeine boosting your mood which in turn increases your appetite.
I didn't eat late before this started, but I figure now it's more important to make sure I'm eating enough every day rather than what time I am eating it. I stay up until 1:00 am or so to enjoy the quiet house anyway, so it's really no matter to me anyway.
Gaining weight during these times, really...what are those people eating? Crazy to be sure.
