Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

So I'm very aware of my anxiety and what it does to others and how my body reacts to certain things plus what can trigger it.....I've noticed that social media is high on the list of triggers so I took it off of my phone yesterday (nervous yet freeing feelings). I told my husband I noticed my heart rate goes up when I click on the app. I have enough things to work through of my own....I don't need the added worry from the entire world. If you think about it, humans brains are not created to absorb and process hundreds or even thousands of other peoples daily activities, worries, what they ate, etc. plus the media adds to these social media apps these fear tactic ads that will worry people to such lengths.
I did it for myself. I don't judge anyone who's on it so please don't be offended by my post. And who knows, I may go back on one day but baby steps....the summer without social media on my phone (whoop whoop).

I just applied for a job that is closer to home and more aligned with my college degree and work experience. It's part-time, but the pay is way better, and I hope to get it.

balance in all things. it is good to stay informed but all too easy to get lost in agony over things which are far beyond my control.
I can see how books would do that too….getting caught up in everything.
DS is about as social media as I get. I don’t even have a Facebook account. Never have. I just kind of refused to do it and it’s quite liberating to be free of all that noise, you know?
i don't feel a whole lot of functional diff between printed and digital media. a report remains a report in both formats, be the report the latest gossip, the latest science developments, relationship fads or whatever. a book remains a book, whether on kindle or paper.
social media reminds me of the editorial sections without the associated reports.
Not really knowing anything about them but just going by a regretful rude comment and with no time to make amends.
rmb, DS is about as much of a social media as I get as well. I have not gone down the road to FB. I miss a lot I am sure. But for some odd reason I really don't care. I am bombarded with it whether I want it or not.
