Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Pretty much says it all. I've been feeling overwhelmed by all my thoughts, anxiety about the future, about work (I work in mental health as a peer), and just social interactions in general. It feels exhausting being myself sometimes, carrying around these thoughts, following them down the rabbit hole...
I've gotten better at letting thoughts go, disputing irrational/unhelpful thoughts, and being kind to myself. But by golly, some days I feel like I suddenly realize I've been stressing over little things and it's hard to let them go.
Basically wanted to vent a bit and see if others have felt this way. Could use your support and any coping skills you may have. I'm new here but really love the support I've seen and how kind and compassionate people are :-)

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

yup, i absotively have felt that way. i still do on a routine basis, but building my skills with therapy tools has minimized the impact those feelings have on my daily life. those therapy tools are far more numerous than i can type in a single sitting, but peer support, such as is available right here in this very forum, is my single most important therapy tool. it helps me remember to ply therapy tools before my obsessive thinking habits can turn those small things into big things.
welcome aboard. hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
By writing it out, you've taken the important step of 'doing thinking' which will help you figure out natural ways to do tasks and let your brain rest a bit.
