Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
1. A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you.
2. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.
3. Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can.

EFT can also be an extremely effective tool. It looks a little odd, but it's been proven to have remarkable results. You can find videos all over You Tube for it. It's called Emotional Freedom Technique.
I am still working on this but you're right - it's our own thoughts that kill us - not the reality of what's going on in our worlds. We tell ourselves all sorts of stories that stress us out and make us crazy. Then we wind up with high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.
All that being said, part of the problem is being so hard on ourselves about getting stressed out. When I get stressed, I try to laugh about it or talk it out with a friend or soak in the tub.
Hope you find good answers that work for you.
