Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So today didn't go as planned at all. I am just learned how to drive at 45, and so far I'm doing pretty good. But as I was driving through to town today a guy from a side street peeled out infront of my car and drove AT me, then skidded into his lane. In town, with a bunch of traffic. My anxiety went through the roof of the car and exploded. So, I took a few calming breaths and tried to pull myself together. My partner rides with me at all times, to keep me focused. So, we finish what we got to do, and head to the dreaded Walmart. (God, how I hate Walmart). We get in and we got our cart filled and get to the checkout, (self checkout). Now one of the items we bought was a 2 tier cat scratcher. We were bagging our stuff and sat the scratcher on the cart to get it out of the way. Well, what we didn't notice was the cashier (or whatever they call em now adays) was watching us on a computer monitor and a pda, everything we were ringing through. She came over and said we didn't ring in the scratcher. Now we told her we weren't done yet, so she said ok, and walked back to the computer. By this time I wanted to leave everything there and just leave. My anxiety at this point has hit an all time high. So a few minutes later, the gal comes back over and does it again. Saying we didn't ring up something, made us ring it up again, then realizing her mistake, got pissed at us. After she had her temper tantrum she walked away, and stood on the other side of the isle, and didn't bother us again. So we finish, and at this point I just want to cry, I'm so overwhelmed with the anxiety that I was feeling. My partner had to drive home, cuz I couldn't emotionally handle it.
So, that was my day in a hand basket. Oh and hey, does anyone know how people can see my journal so I can share that with anyone?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Your open profile makes it so anyone can see your journal entries if they go looking for them but they will have to make a special effort to find them. Journal entries only show up on the newsfeeds of the people you have "friended."
so if you make friends with someone they can see your journal--otherwise I think it is private.
And yes the cats love their scratcher. Every month or so we have to replace them. They are constantly sharpening their claws. I almost think they are getting ready to go to war and have to sharpen their razors LOL. I sleep with one eye open lol jk
