I've dealt with anxiety issues for about the last 10 years. Over the past couple years, though, things have really improved for me. I used to go out quite a bit, and now I just go out for a couple beers on the weekend. I met a great woman and we're engaged; she's a positive, calming influence in my life. So things are going well.
I'm also keenly aware that things that could touch off my anxiety are all around me, especially as my parents are older and I'm more concerned about them; my fiancee and I want to start a family soon after we're married next year; I work for a newspaper and that is not the most secure type of job to have. I also want to be emotionally available to my fiancee, as she was a victim of a violent crime about 8 years ago and, even though she's built a great life for herself, still is affected by that.
So I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and that's the last thing I want to feel. If anyone can identify, feel free to respond -- have a great day!

Try to stay in the present moment. I had a horrible time a couple of years back and now that I've come through it I feel really good. Sometimes I project into the future and wonder if this will ever happen again. I think that it's only normal but I also think that if you keep doing positive things for yourself you build up some resistance. Best wishes to you both.

I agree. Stay positive. Waiting for the other shoe to drop is what drives your anxiety. One of the things I have learned from years of therapy is to focus on the positive things in your life and count your blessings. I feel that doing this even helps you when it comes time to deal with the hard things. Don't say, "What if." If something bad happens, say, "What now."

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
