Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Today was a typical day at work not any more peaceful than yesterday or last week. I decided to work the day and see how I felt at the end. Before I started this job I never had the urge to drink...but..one day turned into twice a week than three times.
I slowly backed off and fight the urge to go now. I just refuse too.
I leapt today after Roomie convinced me we would be fine financially. I put my two weeks notice in at the end of the day. Not sure what tomorrow morning will bring. I'm at a point in my life that unless I win the lotto, an extra dollar an hour does not make an impact. Yes, that dollar might give me peace somehow but not the peace I need. No amount of money could do that. I want no drama. Maybe I need to quit having such high expectations and comparing myself to others. I sit here now and think about what makes me happy...My plants and my cats. Simple things in life.
Maybe I just want simple.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Personally, I don't believe money is too awful much more than shark bait. When I pay my bills, I am honoring my agreements far more than I am worshipping the all-mighty dollar. I think of money as the wind beneath my wings. If I develop my life plans with honest integrity, the wind will be there. Wind beneath wings which are not ready to fly will damage the wings, possibly to irreparable extents. Operating from a small budget is no tragedy. When the money is not there for me, I figure I just need to work on my life plans a little more. Sometime ALLOT more. ^It^ takes what ^it^ takes.
With or without money, the more simple the design, the harder it is to break. I love simplicity.
Then we get to all those pointless dramas of life. . . The simplicity that works for me there is, "God grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change." Not too awful many of those are not even mine to sort.
I work 50 plus hours a week at a high stress job. I’ve been doing this kind of work for a couple of decades. And yet consider myself to have a simple life. I think what makes it simple comes down to each choice I make every single day. Even when things go side ways or there is stress, and inevitability there is throughout a person’s life, the simplicity and peace is really a state of mind and a state of being and the choices we make.
Own your choice and be accountable for your choice. That is living an authentic life. Saying your roommate “convinced” you that you can financially do it seems a way to be able to blame him if it goes off the rails. Just own the choice as your own choice, 100%. You can’t claim a drama free, simple life otherwise.
Hope everything works out for you.
I really, really hope that you will find a job. I think it is more important to do, especially with the "debt" (financially and now... otherwise???) that you think you "owe" to your roommate.
A question you might want to think about is, "Is it really just this job that is causing me stress in my life?" I know you have been dealing with a lot of other stressors (your other recent break up, a big surgery). And think about if you will feel even more obligated to this roommate now?
Better to stand on your own two feet. Having independence and feeling free is a great feeling. No stress or obligation for you that way. Good luck to you.
