i know it may feel like it but you arent going insane, because insane people dont question their sanity. you need to try and calm down and take some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. try breathing in for 3 holding for 3 and breathing out for 3. it may help to lie on the floor and put your hands on your belly and feel it gently rise and fall as you take slow deep calming breaths. as you breath in try to imagine you are breathing calm into your body and as you breath out blow out the air like you are blowing out a candle.
now just maybe check your surroundings, have you eaten? because not eating can make you feel dizzy and lightheaded, also have you had anything with caffeine? because that makes things really bad for my anxiety. if you can maybe have a tea with sugar to help make you feel more calm.

I tend to run away from situation, which made it worst. When we go thru anxiety , we tend to not breath properly which can increase our heart beat and create dizziness. Take a walk, do little breathing exercise and do some meditation. You can listen to guided meditations available on various sites now a days. Following you tube video can teach you simple but very effective breathing exercise which can calm down brain instantly.
Start with practicing for couple of min , as you feel comfortable you can increase it to 10-15 min. You can do this exercise any time of the day , I am not aware of any side effects of this technique. This is called alternate nostril breathing.
