Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Thank you so very much. And I wish I could keep my child from going to his fathers until his homework was done, but that isn't an option. His father fights me with everything that concerns our child. I just have to keep reminding myself that there is a reason I have full custody.
Thank you for your kind words, hope your having a good day!
Unfortunately, dad is unlikely to change.
So...can you speak with the school and ask that the homework come during the week and not be given on Friday or get the order changed so that he goes to dad's later so he can get his homework done first.
I know neither of these are the best option but it's hard to be stuck in that place of just desperately wanting someone to change.
Anxiety, I feel, has a lot to do with feeling like you have no control. When you're able to take control, I think the anxiety loses it's grip.
Its funny you bring up the word "control".....this is exactly why his father is not taking his homework seriously. Because I feels that I want to control him and the way he parents our child. In fact he throws the word control in my face often. The last thing I want to do is control his world and how he parents our child. All I want is to help our child succeed to his best abilities (something my child wants for himself).
And yes I have much to think of as far as the future struggles and the fact that father isn't willing to take some responsibility in our child's education or even teaching him responsibilities. Much to think about for sure.......
