Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Checking things off of my To Do List and speaking with my therapist twice so far has helped to lessen my stress. I still have to sell my car. I don't think I'm going to get much for it. I'm going to have to cut my losses. Yesterday, I had to get an early start to be at my best friend's house by 7:30 a.m. to go to yard sales. It was cold and dreary. Most of the yard sales were pitiful. I didn't get out of the car for a lot of them, including the last one. But she found a CD player for me for $5! And it works! I just bought one at Goodwill on Thursday but it doesn't work. Today I am going to return it and get the credit and try to spend it then and there. We are supposed to try to go to more yard sales today but it's raining at the moment. Later, my brother and I are going out for a bite to eat. I only have about 7 weeks left of work. I was watching out for an email about summer school and I checked one out but it didn't appear that they needed any teacher's aides. My best friend told me that there was an email, which she forwarded to me. I applied but it was after the deadline. Tomorrow I am going to have to go to the laundromat. It's just not possible to go on the weekends as it gets too busy. I found a better way to come home last week. There's much less traffic and it's more scenic. I have to try to fit the gym in today. I've been going to Planet Fitness for 3.5 years and I still love it! My next appointment with my therapist is in 2 weeks. Anyway, have a nice Sunday!

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

Oh, man, laundromats are so busy on the weekends and noisy where I live. I started going on Tuesday and Friday mornings as soon as it opened. But I was not working. Glad you are checking things off your life and talking to therapist more and finding less stress in your life.
I have a doozy of a car story myself. I bought an RV at the height of the market during the pandemic with the intention of living in it. The pandemic forced me to leave Hawaii and I had nowhere to live, and I thought RV life was the solution. But then it went into the shop for water damage, and it took me 3 yrs and a lawsuit to get it back. By then, my husband and I had bought a house and no longer needed the RV. We put it on the market for $10k less than what I had paid for it, but it wouldn't sell. I ended up dumping over $20k into repairs (that included the water damage) just to get it "move in ready". But still it wouldn't sell till we cut the price nearly in half to $27k. I will never buy another RV. What a huge mistake.
I agree with Jazzy. Checking off your to-do list relieves a lot of stress.
