Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. By the Arf Measure, you are already working a good plan by building your awareness of the phenom and seeking emotional support in building that plan. My suggestion is to keep on building. One step leads to another.

Welcome aboard.
I've sure been there. Anxiety is crippling.
Here is what I suggest: when you feel like you are getting overwhelmed by anxiety you have to stop this cycle your mind is going into by presenting a different stimulus- so put on a song you like (something jumpier and fun is adviced); breath (I know this one sounds dumb) but we do forget to breathe deeply so we can supply the brain with oxygen and this, in turn, can combat anxiety ) Inhale-exhale 10 times min; another method focuses on an object or a neutral thought (a mug, the potted flower, chair, whatever it may be) try to direct your energy towards this object or thought as if your life depends on it. Once anxiety is somewhat regulated, find a quiet place, take a seat and write down on a sheet of paper what did you feel exactly. The point is to get to the root cause of your anxiety. Because anxiety is never a disease it's always a symptom. In time you can revisit this list you made and try to figure out what made you feel the way you felt, how did you feel and so on. Good luck! I'm here if you need help !
Deep breaths...I know it will get better, but when?
