Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

It can feel scary, afterwards. Important to remember, you're through that event, and you did the best you could with the information you had in the moment.
Death is part of life. Like the seasons, spring is birth and blossoming, summer is full blossoming, fall is shedding of the blossoms, and winter is sleeping of blossoms.
Add positive pictures, sayings, and do this each time you experience the moment. It's normal to have the sadness (shaky) and stay hydrated.
Best wishes to full healing.
I would be surprised if you were NOT feeling shaky.
To me, feeling anxious sounds like a very natural reaction to unexpectedly seeing a stranger (and fellow human being) who has died in an accident.
I think it is normal to go into action mode to deal with the immediate situation, and then later, when the crisis has passed, have strong thoughts and feelings to sort out.
First, adrenaline kicks in to take care of us, and later, our minds and hearts say, "What the heck just happened?"
Let yourself be anxious about this for a while while your brain is processing. Don't fight it. This is not irrational anxiety....this is normal and you just need to take it easy for a while and rest and let your mind and your brain gain some trust in the world again before you go back full speed into life again. Slow down......take it easy......and your brain will figure out that that was a one-time event and it will shut off the adrenaline. Good luck and I am so sorry you went through that.
truck. She ran a red light and I saw the accident occur. The truck driver and myself pulled her out of the car because it was smoking and we were afraid of fire. She didnt look that bad ..not a lot of blood so we thought she was just unconscious. Bt the time we got her out she was not breathing. I found out later she had died of internal injuries.
What you are feeling is a normal reaction. The anxiety should fade with time but talking to a therapist might help.
