General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I am sorry you are having the anxiety so severely. I hope you get the help that you need so you can begin to cope and function better again.
medications can be lifesavers for sure. It's hard to find that right fit. I found that the SSRI meds I have tried in the past helped me for depression but not as much for the anxiety. I don't take anything right now. Ativan helps me but I am on an as needed basis prescription. I wish I could take it every day. LOL
I hope things get better for you and the meds work.
It is good that you have come here for support and it's a safe place to vent as so many of us understand.
I also take ativan but lately it doesn't seem to do as well as it used to.
I just wish the severe anxiety would stop.
-We are always here for you!:)

If you are having lots of adrenaline, are you doing something to channel it (exercise). I read somewhere that if you have the shakes, then shake! Shake your arms on purpose and your legs. It release the good endorphins that balance out the adrenaline. Try running in place for 2 minutes or doing 25 jumping jacks, or 25 wall push ups.
Give your body some time to adjust to the different dosages too. Take a few days off if you can. I wish you well:-) Keep us posted!
I do need to start walking again. I was walking everyday but with the anxiety I find it hard to push myself to do anything. but I guess I need to realize that is a bad thing.
