I know it's hard, but try not to worry.
Serotonin Syndrome is not that common. You would have to be taking more than one medication, and super high amounts, etc. So, I don't think it is that.
Good that you write down your symptoms like this. Did you maybe have any of these symptoms before taking the Effexor?
Probably your doctor will want to change your dose. It does take 4-6 weeks for these medications to do the good parts. It is hard to go through the side effects. It's frustrating.
Again, call your doctor's office. Leave a message for him/her. They will help you through this. You don't have to suffer alone. Give them a call.
You're going to be okay. I think it's side effects from the medication (not dangerous) and maybe if you have any stressful things in your life you are dealing with right now?
Please let us know how you're doing.
Like it’s on fire.
Still suggest calling the prescribing doctor and let them know how you feel. You don't have to wait until your next appointment. Leave him/her a message.
I am guessing they will adjust the dose or switch you to a different medication. But wait and see what they say to do. I am not a doctor.
You will be okay. Give them a call. You will feel better.
Are there other stresses you're dealing with in your life? This is a good place to write them out. We understand.
welcome aboard. i'm betting someone here knows more about serotonin syndrome than i do. just betting.
There are times when a medicine makes the original symptom worse because it exposes the true balance act the body and brain are working. When you're out of sync, it's hard to determine what the worst and original symptom was in the beginning.
Here's hoping you find what works best for you soon and that you start to feel better fast.
