Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. I am not a doctor, but for what it's worth, my sister has schizophrenia and first off, you don't know you have it when you do. When people truly "lose it" to put it one way, they actually do not think they are. They think they are perfectly fine. Plus it is nothing like you are describing. You literally lose sense of reality, and by that I don't mean you space out, I mean you start believing things that are untrue, seeing things, hearing things, etc.
As for having a stroke, you wouldn't be able to type words on a computer if that were happening.
It sounds like you are having some depersonalization. I get this way when I am stressed out or if I have lost sleep or if I eat a bunch of crap for too long. hang in there, and go easy on yourself. You are not going crazy, you are having anxiety and your mind is in overdrive.
Believe it or not it is a defense mechanism for your brain. When you are anxious you send signals to your body that you are in danger. In order to survive, your brain "zones out" so that you can preserve your adrenaline for fight or flight. If you get emotional, which is what would happen if your brain did not do this, then your chances of survival would go way down. You can't focus if you are too emotional.
I hope that makes sense. If you don't take a good multivitamin now then definitely start, and cut out sugar if you haven't done that too. That has really helped me.
Take care and get some rest!!
