I want you to take an anti-anxiety pill and see if the double vision and jerks persist.
It could be side effects of the medication.
Have you ever thought about the opposite-what if you didn't have a brain tumor.
Have you ever laughed at somebody for buying a lottery ticket (I know I have) because their chances of winning are one in a million-well then why are you taking yourself so seriously?
I get jerks and pains, but its because I'm caught up on the lowest probability possible.-KonstantinO
Some people do not tolerate ativan - I know I don't. There are alternatives to ativan. You have only been on ativan for two weeks so I don't see any harm in stopping it without weening off. Ativan and the like are central nervous system suppressants and if you are depressed sometimes these medications can worsen depression.
Speak with your doctor about alternatives to ativan & explain the trouble you are having with your eyes.
I thought the same thing when anxiety hit me. I insisted that I have a ct scan to see if I had a brain tumor. Of course, it was negative. I was having sharp pains in my head, dizziness, headaches for days at a time, and yes, I have floaters in my eyes, but this more a sign a cataracts(don't know how to spell it). Anxiety can cause so many symptoms, you just have to learn to tell yourself it is nothing that is going to harm you. I took ativan as well, but only took 1/2 every 4 hrs. When my zoloft kicked in after about 8 wks, I cut back to 1/2 twice a day and then only as needed and now I don't take them at all. I am also on YAZ, which I feels helped my anxiety greatly. I am back to my old self. You can do it too. Good luck,
