However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

my anixity has kept me from doing things in my life that I’ve always wanted to do. This fear has grown out of control at this point, but back in March I decided I would get over this fear and prove to myself and everyone else that I could do this even tho I’m scared out of my mind. I’m still working on it and its always on my mind, but my anixity is still trying to scare me into not doing it anymore and I really want to just give up because honestly that would be easier then fighting it everyday. I guess I’m looking for some kind of support or even words of wisdom. I don’t want to let fear of the unknown to stop me from living. I don’t want this to take over my life. My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". Celebrate small victories -even if it's just going outside to get the mail. Set yourself a goal for every day and celebrate when you do it! And hey - if you don't do it. Make that your goal for tomorrow.
Stay positive my friend!
Things that make me feel brave: running outside. Yoga, tai chi, qigong.
I think hiking was the first thing that made me feel brave. Hiking off-trail. Over rocks, through mud, across streams.
When you're alone at home, jump up and down and make weird noises.
Sometimes doing LITTLE spontaneous, silly things makes it easier to do the big things. Find little things you can do throughout the day.
But most of all keep going. You know all that anxiety is in your head. You are brave! I believe in you! Sending you love!
