I also have had many nights when I woke up already in a panic. It's an awful feeling. This happened to me because of nightmares I was having. I didn't always remember them but I knew on some level that nightmares were the cause.
Are you dissociating or are you experiencing depersonalization/derealization? Dissociation is generally associated with past traumatic events and depersonalization/derealization is an anxiety symptom. Here are a few links that explain them.

I only ask because if you had a traumatic event in your past then it could help explain why you are so affected by panic and why you are waking up in a panic.
I am glad you have a great support system and that you are taking good care of your health.
Also, nothing you said sounds crazy to me. You are not crazy. You are anxious, and sometimes that can make us feel a little crazy.
