Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. my therapist and i had a really good session today and i was feeling really good until i started feeling guilty when my roommate came home in a bad mood. it's not my fault that she feels how she does and i can't control it but in a way i think she wants me to feel just as bad. i've talked to my other roommate (her boyfriend) about moving out because it's toxic sometimes but we own cats together and i know if i ever do move out she would win the cats because i can't argue for shit and she is "always right". she makes me feel guilty about working in a restaurant during the pandemic but i have no other options for work. it's also really hard because when we have good days i feel like she's my best friend again but i don't want to live in a home where i have to walk on eggshells. i also can't lose my cats. i just feel so stuck.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Am I able to seperate my emotions from others or do I need to take time to process my emotions when in conflict with others.
Your roommate's mood doesn't have to dictate your emotions and state of mind. You could acknowledge her bad mood while still holding on to how you feel inside.
It is also possible to have a housemate but have limited interaction to decrease conflict. Could you sit down and problem solve to work out a solution for all parties?
Or say that you were just about to leave for a walk/drive and that you'll see her later.
In other words, just casually get away from the situation for a little bit, and that way you don't have to be stuck listening to it and there is no confrontation either.
You are NOT responsible for what she does, says, reacts, or responds.
You are responsible for your well-being and your actions, so be gentle. Take the time to step away and remove yourself from the toxic moment of the situation.
Taking the time to breathe, to relax, to find calm will help you sort through the information easier with a better balance.
