I do not do this activity. What I do is write in the journal, doodle, and explore the feelings to see what I'm really wondering.

Just my two cents here, but rather than going to one and paying them to make up a story for you (because, let's be honest, that's what a lot of them do) you may want to try reading some books by some or reading people's account of near death experiences. That probably seems counter-intuitive but it could prove helpful.

Please let me be clear, I don't doubt that some people very genuinely have a sixth sense and the ability to know more than the average person. That being said, I feel that those people are rare. How does one differentiate who is and is not a top psychic? And the ones that are supposed to be the absolute best are very, very pricey.

I believe that the one in one million people who actually have psychic
abilities are helping police solve crimes [Ive seen documentaries on
this] , not trying to make money by telling people what they want to hear..obviously if they tell you bad things you dont come back .
I think your money would be better spent on a really good therapist.

I have gone to a psychic a few times. Oddly enough, she was specific with dates and events....unfortunately most of it was true (still waiting on some predictions).

But like others have said, not all psychics and mediums really have abilities. Best of luck!

Instead of psychics and mediums, why not turn to the religion of your choice. Spirituality without religion is even good for calming fears of the afterlife and death. If you do not know what religion or form of spirituality is for you, just research. Much cheaper and more rewarding than paying someone that may or may not be making it up.

I have two well respected mediums in mind to give me a reading so I'm not worried about wasting my money in that sense. I was just wondering if anyone else had decided to take this step and whether or not it helped them in any way.

My grandmother was a medium so I grew up surrounded by and fully accepting of psychic phenomena. Yes I have found it a great comfort throughout life. To know that we are not alone, that our loved ones (including pets) are not lost forever and one day we will meet again is wonderful.

Sneezy: You will do as you will. As for me I havead a near death experience twice. The first time at the age of 37. I choked on a hot roast beef sandwich; Just had got upper dentures; the stringy beef got hooked under the plate and in my throat. I knew the procedure to use a chair under your solar plexus; when your panicked all is forgotten. As i was blacking out; my 12 yr old daughter had just learned the Heimlich before school vacation. I felt someone squeeze and out flew the dentures and roast beef. Nope; no bright lights; just a peacful blackout. It took about six months before I was able to eat solid food; being fearful of choking and no one being there to help.
The second time at 59 when I was laying on the OR table in the CATH LAB from a HA and the Cardiolgist was working on Inserting the Catherer to inset te 2 stents. I felt that I was going to Die; but I was laying there peaceful. Two days later he had to open a smaller artery and place one more stent. I was in ICU for 5 1/2 days every night I fell asleep I thought my life was over.
I live my life one day at a time; Thank God and Jesus that I survived and realizing one day I too will die and hopefully in my sleep.

Myself I would advise against it...I used to be involved with a lot of this stuff and you may not like the doors you open.

If you're experiencing anxiety over something that has not happened yet like death I would suggest seeing a therapist. "thoughts of death and the after life" may not even be the real cause of your anxiety. It may be something deeper that you are not aware of. Something from your past or perhaps your childhood. As for death and the afterlife. Yes, it is scary but when you look at it from a different angle...we are all going to face the same fate. Absolutely no on earth can escape death. So instead of fretting and worrying about something that no one can't prevent (not even the richest person on earth) simply enjoy and make the most of this life , and time you have now :) Hope that helps.

I've never been to a medium but have been to a psychic. It was really interesting. A lot of the stuff from my past was pretty accurate but stuff from my future I'm still waiting for :/

Death will be similar to before we were born -- we won't feel a thing. It's inevitable unless technology extends our lives in the future. I guess it's just best to try to make the best use of your time doing things that are meaningful to you while you're here.

I see no problem visiting a Psychic, as long as they can prove they're truly psychic. Because, in my opinion, 99.9% of them are just rip off artists.
