I do not take meds for my anxiety but tried Prozac several years ago when I was going through a particularly tough time and it made me feel crazy. If I took it at night, I couldn’t sleep. If I took it in the day time, I felt exhausted. It also seemed to kick up the anxiety but that may have been more related to stress and not getting good sleep. Sometimes those general types of side effects from the medication do pass with time. For me, I gave it a couple of months and gave up on it. Meds affect people differently so in my mind I think you can’t really know how they affect you until you are on something for a month or so. The exception to that would be if you are having serious side effects like an allergic reaction, delusional thoughts, etc. Then it should be stopped but still with a discussion with a doctor
