Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I’ve been doing kickboxing classes recently (once a week and I’m on my fifth one now) and I’ve noticed a change in my self image and body. I’ve always made a point of excercising my mind but taking care of my body tended to take a backseat.
I still don’t excercise often enough but sweating it out and pushing my body to do things I didn’t know was possible for me has been a good confidence boost. I’m not the NEET who doesn’t go out anymore, I’m the one who’s willing to try new things and push herself for the sake of her health and happiness. I’ve even been noticing subtle changes in my body and I’m living for it.
I’m going to keep thinking on eating more healthy and getting more sleep. Since excercising makes me work so hard to burn a few calories, it’s made me more motivated to cut down on the fatty and unhealthy food. It also encourages me to eat nutritious food because it’ll make me stronger and more able next time.
Anyway I’m not sure why I’m posting this here, I’m simply not sure who else to tell. I feel accomplished and I want to share it with people who’d understand what a big deal this is to me.
Final note, I finished a little crochet seal today! I think it took me a week.

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

Good job on the kick boxing, and all exercise in general. Exercising is supposed to help with anxiety and also depression. And it raises your self esteem.
You're doing great! Keep it up :)
I LOVE kickboxing. I have serious anger issues and kickboxing helps me channel that anger better than anything else I've ever tried. Even now that I have gotten pretty good at managing my anger, kickboxing is still loads of fun. It's good for my self-esteem, to. Kickboxing made a HUGE diff in how I see the world, as well as how the world sees me.
Crochet boggled me, though. I'm thoroughly envious of your seal. I wish I could do that. Crochet is a fantastic art, but I do better with sewing. Whatever your craft, crafting makes a wonderful balance for the kickboxing.
