You are not alone.
There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little is attitude. and the big difference is whether it's positive or negative. Don't take other people's negativity personally. Most negative people behave negatively, not just to you, but to anyone they interact with. What they say and do is a projection of their own reality. The one thing no-one can take away from you is the way you choose to respond to what someone says or does. There are people who use negativity as a barrier to protect themselves. Believe it or not, there are people who also complain as a way of crying for help. Some people aren't even conscious of their actions or their attitude. I think understanding someone's negativity will help in the long run. And being aware of their negativity helps so you don't follow that type of attitude along with them. Hugs GB
My mother's the same way. Sometimes I react to it by angrily countering with a positive idea. Yes, sometimes aggressive positivity is required to deal with rampant negativity.
