General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hi, it's been a while since I've been here, but I'm back with a major anxiety problem. About 3 weeks ago, my daughter accidentally yelled directly in my ear. It made my ear go quiet for about a second, then rang real loud, then felt muffled after that. Time went by and it continued to feel off. Still ringing, but not as loud, but ear still feels strange, and I can't pinpoint what it is. I went to primary care doc and ENT and nobody saw any damage. But I know it's not how it was before she yelled in my ear. It feels like a slight pressure, or like when you get water in your ear and can't get it out. I'm taking Mucinex and a decongestant to see if I have a fluid in my ear, but it isn't helping either. I'm so afraid it's the ringing or something causing my ear to feel this way. And it has really thrown me off track and I can't focus at all or be myself. I have 2 young children and need to focus on them again, and was doing so well before this happened, what can I do to get past this? My biggest fear is I'll have to live with it the rest of my life, and that really makes me feel like I'm going to be sick. I'm so afraid of that and just want it to get better. I'm big into praying and have prayed so much about it, so if anyone could pray for me too, I'd greatly appreciate it. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how I can get past the anxiety part of this? I'm so scared. :(

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I would also go to a chiropractor. They balance your nervous system. I have had pains, headaches, etc. DISAPPEAR after being adjusted.
So there is a plan to try and having a plan is a positive step in your anxiety. Talk a walk in the morning sun and meditate as you are walking. Place your burdens at the cross and receive the peace that passes all understanding as your prayer.
Hugs! It will be OK. Keep us posted on that second opinion with an ENT.
I will suggest putting a soft ear plug in to minimize the changes in pressure. When your ear is recovering from loud direct vibration, often resting the area where the sensation of pressure is will help relieve the pressure.
With anxiety, the chemical levels will naturally release with movement, so go gently with movement of your head, neck, and shoulders to find the trigger for the pressure change.
Best wishes on your healing.
