i have been taking lexapro 10 mg i was doing ok now it is been 2 weeks i am suffering severe anxiety i lost my apetite i already lost wieght sick to my stomach naseaus shaking cant concentrate i askedmy doc to increase my dosage he said no it will pass just hang on how i have kids to take care of i didnt cook now for a week everyday they ask me what are we going to eat i feel i bad mom that they are going through this with me any advice should i increase mymed on my own only to 15 mg please any advice i am having very bad thoughts i am trying to pray but i cant function.

It does sound like your med need to be increased but that takes a couple weeks also. Mabe you should go to the hospital. Or do you have anything like ativan or valium?

10mg lexapro is medically considered a half dose.But,I felt nothing until a month into it.I have added extra exercise to my daily routine and take it one day at a time right now.What exactly are you experiencing?
