Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
heavy chest/heart, fluttering heart, jitteryness, can't concentrate, occassional nausea, poor sleep.
Sorry that you are not feeling well. Hugs Anne.
But there is always self help skills and the right meds to help, also breathing exercizes, not an overnight process but done regularly they do help you get through it.
I'm really struggling right now :(
- I think everything looks one dimensional.
- I have a sensation that I might be walking crooked or about to fall.
- I have a feeling of impending doom
- I feel fear for no appearant reason
- My chest gets a feeling like adrenaline is pumping in.
- My chest is tight from armpit to armpit.
- Any weird different chest discomfort starts the, "I wonder if I am gonna have a heart attack?"
- Tingly arms, fingers, anything.
- Any tingly makes me afraid there's a stroke coming...or migrain since I get those with migraines, too.
- I can't focus in a restaurant to the small group at our table. It's like my brain won't filter out all the noise in the buiding.
I also feel when I walk, I am walking crooked, I thought I was the only one that had that symptom.
Things also get really fuzzy for me, cant seem to concentrate on anything.
After coming on here the other night I was calmed and the next day kept telling myself that physically I am fine. These symptoms are just anxiety.
BTW: I do think serotonin is involved with us. That is why the shrinks push the anti-depressants. However, I only do well on xanax. Anyway, the serotonin helps us filter and not be afraid. I walk 5K most days in the park to help increase my serotonin and it helps me much.
From what I can understand it sounds like maybe our serotonin gets absorbed to quickly and doesn't stay in our brains long enough. ??? I've been exercising, staying away from caffeine, and eating lots of tryptophan foods; all which I read online to help increase serotonin.
