I suffer from panic disorder with agorapobia. I have a therapist and psychiatrist who are reasonably competent with mental disorders in general, but don't seem to see the special needs of agoraphobia. I live in an area which is mostly rural so there aren't alot of choices to find someone who specializes in anxiety disorders.
It's been 9 months since I've been diagnosed and I feel like I'm no better, meaning that just going outside my front door produces panic. I'm on the right meds, suppposedly.
I would like to communicate in this forum with others who have panic disorder with agoraphobia who can relate to my situation and perhaps have found treatment that works.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

You are on medication which helps to reduce the anxiety, and so the next step is yours, the actual stepping of the feet. You can do this, and being rural makes it easier (you will not run into neighbors right outside your front door, etc, ...) in some ways.
Make a plan of action. You can make it as simple as two steps out, walk around in a circle, stand facing out from the door, look, touch, smell, listen and then two steps ... . The two step uses both feet, so you will move from toe to heel, toe to heel.
Best wishes. You are not alone in this.
