I had a surgery done in my mouth yesterday. I was pretty bad in there. i had my left sinus sewn back up because it was broken, so I was put on pain meds. I am taking Oxycontin 5-325. I was fine yesterday. i kinda just slept and stayed in jammies. Today however, I took one this afternoon and after it kicked in I had a bad panic attack. I was so scared and I had to wait it out. I finally just fell asleep but I have been dreading taking another one. It has been 10 hours since I had last taken one and I am in pain but I really don't want to have another panic attack. I was wondering if anyone else had this type of reaction and what kind of help did they recieve? I am in so much pain and I am starving. i just want to do something. My second son is still up and I want to sleep. Please I just need some advice. i have already called ask a nurse and she suggested I only take half but I am too chicken to.

My sympathies! I hope you are making smoothies.
Yes, the pain is going to come and go while you heal. You're going to notice every single change since the pain is so present. Just do all the ideas mentioned by kacc until you find what works for your pain relief.
Yes, the pain pill will bring you relief. This is needed, so you can rest and relax the tensed muscles.
