Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I am feeling sooo overwhelmed.
We have parent-teacher conferences this week, so it means very long days. I have gone off one med completely (which suppresses my immune system) and have felt more achy and less energetic.
Hearing as much as we have about the coronavirus, I am quite concerned for my family. My mother is elderly, I have an autoimmune disease, and my young son has very little family.
I have also had an unrelated health issue come up... I see a dr Monday but I am scared it may be cancer.
I was told about some major changes next year at work.... which I don't think is the best, but might be in the minority. We will see in April what others think.
I feel completely overwhelmed and not ready to face another day. I would love to just be home.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

If it helps, there are ways you can keep yourself strong. Foods like raw ginger chopped up with hot water poured over it helps to strengthen your immune system—drink lots of this tea. Also—trying to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep a night helps keep you stronger. Staying away from sugar and sugary foods prevent cracks in your immune system. Herbal teas that promote calm and relaxation at night can help you unwind and have a peaceful rest.
There is currently mass anxiety over this virus, and unfortunately anxiety can make us less effective in our coping mechanisms. Just try to remember that for all of your anxieties, other people are feeling very similar, so tap into that compassion in how you relate to others. It will be ok. Do your best, take care of yourself, let your mom know you’re there for her and that she will be ok. Take care, sending strengthening, uplifting vibes.
Keep writing. It does help release anxiety naturally. Stay hydrated. Practice even breathing.
Do something fun with your little one.
