Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Back in 1976 I was walking and got hit by a car. It left me with permentent injuries. My left leg was dislocated, rammed up through my pelvis (that shattered) and lodged beneath my heart. I landed on my head and fractured my skull. When I went into a gran-mal seiaure, I had a massive stroke and lost 35% of my brain. I was paralized in my left side for awhile and it took me a long time to walk again. It didnt help that I am naturally left handed.
Well, back in 2006 I was walking across a drive thru at a smokeshop outside of a casino. There was a pick up there. I was watching the driver, hoping he would look up.
Unfortunately he didn't. He kept looking down and counting his money or opening his cigarettes or whatever. He hit the gas and rammed into my right side. (My GOOD side DAMMIT) I put my hands on the hood and he kept going. For some reason, I couldn't scream. I remember lookng down at the tiny heels I had on and thinking, "If they break I'm going under and I will die. He pushed me about 15 feet before he looked up and saw me.
He yelled, and slammed on the breaks. Then he started cussing me. I hobbled to my car, ten feet away and he left. I kind of freaked out and left the scene also.
But when I have flashbacks, it is usually of looking down at my feet. Or when I walked in my front door and saw my daughter standing there with her son in her arms. She turned really pale and asked what was wrong. And I told her that I had been hit by a car.
If I hadn't been in such shock I probably would have laughed. Her face contorted in anger and she said, "Where is he? I'll go kick his ass Mom!"
But when I have my flash backs, I can't laugh. grrrr

I was also hit by a car. I have flashbacks but not just of the car accident. They never go away. If anything mine become more defined. I am not only remembering but I am remembering in vivid detail. It can be annoying sometimes. Not the easiest thing. If you have a therapist you should bring that up in therapy.

I haven't been in therapy in years. I tried for awhile right after the accident in 2006, but I couldn't afford the $100 a week. Dunno, I might try again if my husband's VA comes through. I wish you well with your recovery. (((((HUGS)))))

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
